What's the difference between a Christmas Cactus and an Orchid Cactus?

They are one and the same. just different names for the same plant.

They come originally from Brazil and are a winter-flowering cactus with long pendulous stems and a colourful pink flower. They are a cactus but are not as normal cacti are, with lots of spikey needles. These are softer and are more easily handled
In the hot summer months of Australia and New Zealand, they flower around Christmas time, so they have adapted well to different climates.
They are usually planted in hanging pots and if done this way, you will be rewarded with an unusual display of colourful pink flowers towards the end of the year.
They always seem to be a talking point as people will comment on your display.

Enjoy !
